How it works?
Welcome to Local Paws, where your pet's happiness and well-being are our top priorities. We've designed our services to be seamless and personalised, ensuring that your furry family receives the best care possible. Here's a step-by-step guide to how we operate:
#1. Get in Contact with us via Social Media @localpaws_ or Txt/call 0433379071
Tell us a little about your pet, your location, which service you need, and the days/dates you are enquiring about.
Local Paws will get back to you with our availability within 48 hours on weekdays, and our price list.
#2 Meet & Greet
We believe in getting to know you and your pet personally. We will come to you for free, to discuss your pet's specific needs in detail, and any special instructions you may have. If both parties are happy, you can make/confirm your booking.
#3. Make a Booking
Booking with us is easy and convenient. You can do so through our Instagram, by giving us a call, or by sending a text. Just provide us with the necessary details, including the type of service, preferred dates, and any additional instructions. Once confirmed, your dates are locked in and we will send you an invoice.
Dog sitting: a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, remaining amount 48 hours after service is complete.
Dog Walking: payment is required at the end of service, within 48 hours or weekly, pending the walking schedule.
#4. Arrival and Departure
SITTING SERVICE: On the scheduled day, we arrive at the time and location discussed prior with the client.
To ensure a smooth handover, please write down or text through any important notes/reminders.
Please ensure your house is tidy and clean for our stay. Upon your return, we will have the house clean for you, wait for a text that you are not far away or arrange a time when we can head off.

WALKING SERVICE: We can collect your pet from your house, take them for an hour's walk in your local neighbourhood, and return them safely, back home. This can be done with you at home or work.
#5. Exercise and Playtime
For dog walking services, we take your pup on an enjoyable and safe walk, in your preferred area. We make sure they get the exercise they need and have the opportunity to explore their surroundings whilst remaining on lead unless discussed otherwise. (Local Paws can provide walking treats and poo bags if needed)
For dog sitting, we do the above as well as engage in interactive playtime at home and provide mental stimulation.
Doggy Day adventures can also be arranged during a dog-sitting service*
#6. Special Care and Services
If your pet requires additional services such as feeding, medication, wound dressings, or any other specific care, just let us know in advance, and write it down and we will be sure to follow your instructions.
#7. Communication and Updates
Throughout the service, we maintain open communication with you. We'll send you updates via text messages, photos, or emails (whichever method you prefer) to keep you informed about your pet's activities and well-being. This ensures you have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.
#8. Return and Handover
At the end of the walking service, we'll return your pet to your designated location.
For dog-sitting services, we will leave your home as per arrangement with each client.
#9. Post-Service Follow-Up
After each service, we encourage you to share any feedback or special instructions for future visits. This helps us continuously improve our services and ensures yours and your pet's satisfaction. (find the link to our feedback form on our Instagram)
#10. Regular Scheduling and Special Requests
You can schedule regular dog walking services on a weekly or monthly basis at your convenience. If you have any special requests just let us know, and we'll do our best to accommodate.
